Gregg Chadwick was selected to fill a vacancy on the HCC Board of Trustees in 2002. He won elections in 2003, 2005, 2011, and 2017. He completed mandatory trustee training for 2017 and 2019. In 2007 Gregg was elected Vice Chair of the Board, and in 2009 he was elected Chair and continues to serve in that position today. Gregg also served as Chair of the HCC Presidential Search Committee in 2009-2010. He has served the Illinois Community College Trustees Association in several roles, including Treasurer (2009-2010), chair of the government relations and public policy committee (2017-2019), and currently as vice president. He was an associate member of the Association of Community College Trustees' (ACCT) public policy committee in 2007-2008, and he is currently serving on the ACCT Central Region Awards Committee. He represented the HCC Board of Trustees on three trips to China, in 2008, 2012, and 2017.
Gregg is a native New Englander and moved to Central Illinois in 1997. He has worked for several health care and human service organizations in central Illinois, and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Marcfirst in Normal, an agency that provides residential, employment and training services to adults with emotional and intellectual disabilities, as well as therapy and early intervention services to children who experience developmental delays. Gregg holds an MBA in Health Care Administration from Boston University. He and his wife, Robyn Walter, live in Bloomington. They have three grown children.

Mary Campbell was elected to the HCC Board of Trustees in 2017. She completed mandatory trustee training for 2017 and 2019. Mary was a faculty member at Illinois State University School of Social Work from 1980-2010.
Mary’s current community involvement includes: ABC Counseling Services Advisory Board (2008-), YWCA Board (2014-), Co-Director of Dreams Are Possible (2019-), LAMU Kenya Health Care Board: (2013-), Multi- Cultural Leadership Project (Volunteer/Mentor/ Team Liaison) (2014-), Certified Master Naturalist through U of I Extension (2011-), PASS IT ON-Founder and Coordinator (1986-), Center of Hope Food Pantry Volunteer (2014-).
Mary has received numerous community and university awards including: WJBC Spirit of McLean County, Outstanding Community Service Award , MCLP Volunteer Service Award, McLean County Bar Association, Service Award, Town of Normal Dr. Martin Luther King Award, YWCA Woman of Distinction Award, Citizen Advocate of the Year, Mental Health Association, McLean County, Outstanding University Teacher, Outstanding College of Arts and Science Teacher, Social Worker of the Year, State of Illinois, and Outstanding University Service Award for Faculty.

Jeff Flessner is a graduate of Illinois State University earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance. After graduating, Jeff started his professional career as a sales representative for Lincoln Financial Group. After five years with Lincoln, he went to work for a local insurance brokerage firm and within two years became a Vice President and Partner. In April of 1999, Jeff started Benefit Planning Associates along with 3 other partners and served as President from 1999 through 2012. BPA now serves over 300 corporate clients in Central Illinois. Jeff has written a number of articles for local publications related to healthcare and health insurance, as well as given a number of presentations on the subject. Jeff is very active in the Bloomington-Normal area serving on various boards and working with service organizations. Jeff lives in Normal with his wife, Cindy, and has three grown children, two of whom attended HCC.

Pat Hardesty and his wife, Lisa, reside in Normal Illinois. Pat is the Business Manager for the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters in Bloomington serving McLean and Livingston Counties. He is a 43-year member of the Local. Pat graduated from Chenoa High School in 1971 and attended Parkland Community College for one year. He was elected to a six-year term in 2013 and re-elected to complete a two-year term in 2019 for the Heartland Board of Trustees.

Janet Hood was selected to fill a vacancy on the HCC Board of Trustees in 2017. She won election in 2019. She completed the trustee training for 2017 and 2019. In 2017, she was appointed to the Finance Committee. Ms. Hood also served as a member of the HCC Presidential Search Committees in 2009-2010 and 2017-2018 and as President of the HCC Alumni Association 2012-2014. Janet, a resident of Normal, is Coordinator of Operations and Planning for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center & Advocate Eureka Hospital. She received an Associate Degree from Heartland Community College, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Eureka College, Eureka, IL, and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN. She is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives. Janet serves on several area and statewide boards.

Becky graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications. She earned her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from Illinois State University. Becky started her career at GROWMARK first as an intern in the Corporate Communications area then full time in the Marketing Communications area as an Advertising Coordinator. Later Becky became the Director of Organization and System Development division and just recently she was named the Director of Talent Management for GROWMARK, Inc. In her personal life, Becky is in partnership with her husband Ken, their daughter Leah, and her in-laws Ray and Carol Ropp in their dairy farm and cheese manufacturing and marketing LLC named Ropp Jersey Cheese.

Thomas Whitt was elected to the Board in 2019. He completed the trustee training for 2019. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Political Science and also earned an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from Lake Michigan College (Benton Harbor, MI.) Residing in Bloomington with his wife, Rachel and daughter Ramona, Thomas is a CT Technologist at OSF St. Joseph Hospital.

Nicole (Nicci) Van Dyke began as a student at Heartland in the Spring 2018 semester. After receiving her Associate in Arts degree she plans to transfer to the University of Northern Georgia to pursue a degree in Special Education. In addition to her role as Student Trustee, Nicci is a pitcher on the Heartland Hawks Softball team. She loves being outdoors and her hobbies include camping and fishing with her family. As Student Trustee, Nicci states her goal is to provide representation for Heartland students and to provide an avenue for students to present their own voice and diverse set of opinions.

Board of Trustees Meeting Schedule
The Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month. The Finance Committee meets preceeding the Board Meeting. Exceptions are noted with an asterisk.*
