    Gregg Chadwick was selected to fill a vacancy on the HCC Board of Trustees in 2002. He won elections in 2003, 2005, 2011, and 2017. He completed the trustee training in June 2017. In 2007 he was elected Vice Chair of the Board, and in 2009 he was elected Chair. Chadwick also served as Chair of the HCC Presidential Search Committee in 2009-2010. He served as Treasurer of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association in 2009-2010, and as an associate member of the Association of Community College Trustees' public policy committee in 2007-2008. He represented the HCC Board of Trustees on two trips to China, in 2008 and 2012. Chadwick is a native New Englander and moved to Central Illinois in 1997. He has worked for several health care organizations in Bloomington and Peoria. He earned an MBA in Health Care Administration from Boston University, and obtained Certified Medical Practice Executive designation from the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He is the immediate past president of the Illinois Medical Group Management Association. He is also a member of the Multicultural Leadership Program's Advisory Council. He and his wife, Robyn Walter, live in Bloomington. They have three children.

    Mary Campbell won election to the Heartland Community College Board of Trustees in 2017 and completed trustee training in June 2017.

    Jim Drew, a long-time Logan County resident, is originally from the Godfrey/Alton area. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1977 with a degree in Agricultural Business. He moved to Lincoln in 1978 where he is employed by the Logan County Farm Bureau. Jim is the current president of Lincoln's YMCA board. He has had the opportunity to serve on various boards including the Lincoln Logan Economic Development Partnership, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation, and the Lincoln Zoning Board of Appeals. A member of Lincoln Christian Church, he and his wife Lisa live in Lincoln where they own and operate Sorrento's Pizzeria.  On November 20, 2018, Mr. Drew was appointed by the Board to complete an unfilled term that ends in April 2019.

    Jeff Flessner is a graduate of Illinois State University earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance. After graduating, Jeff started his professional career as a sales representative for Lincoln Financial Group. After five years with Lincoln, he went to work for a local insurance brokerage firm and within two years became a Vice President and Partner. In April of 1999, Jeff started Benefit Planning Associates along with 3 other partners and served as President from 1999 through 2012. BPA now serves over 300 corporate clients in Central Illinois. Jeff has written a number of articles for local publications related to healthcare and health insurance, as well as given a number of presentations on the subject. Jeff is very active in the Bloomington-Normal area serving on various boards and working with service organizations. Jeff lives in Normal with his wife, Cindy, and has three grown children, two of whom attended HCC.

    Janet Hood was selected to fill a vacancy on the Heartland Community College Board of Trustees in January 2017.  She completed trustee training in June 2017.  Janet, a resident of Normal, is Coordinator of Operations and Planning for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center & Advocate Eureka Hospital. Her professional experience is in the areas of healthcare care management, clinical research management, government/regulatory affairs, and property management. She received an Associate Degree from Heartland Community College, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Eureka College, Eureka, IL and a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN.  She is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives.

    Janet has served on many area and statewide boards and has been recognized for her service through the “Woman of Distinction in Volunteer Services” by the YWCA and the ATHENA® Award from the McLean County Chamber of Commerce.

    Becky graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications. She earned her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from Illinois State University. Becky started her career at GROWMARK first as an intern in the Corporate Communications area then full time in the Marketing Communications area as an Advertising Coordinator. Later Becky became the Director of Organization and System Development division and just recently she was named the Director of Talent Management for GROWMARK, Inc. In her personal life, Becky is in partnership with her husband Ken, their daughter Leah, and her in-laws Ray and Carol Ropp in their dairy farm and cheese manufacturing and marketing LLC named Ropp Jersey Cheese.

    Joshua Crockett is within his final year at Heartland Community College and will be transferring to Illinois State University in the fall to major in Political Science. He is currently interning for the Continuing Education department at Heartland, which aligns with his goals of working in higher education post-graduation. Joshua has held a number of leadership positions on Heartland’s campus including: member of Phi Theta Kappa, SGA Senator, Student Body President, and currently as Student Trustee. He has utilized these roles to serve the students of Heartland by raising awareness for issues regarding textbook affordability, campus safety, and enhancing student life. Joshua has witnessed the impact young people can make when they speak out for what they believe in, and expects that the students of Heartland Community College will be the leaders of this community for years to come.
