When do FESL classes start?

Heartland offeres FESL classes throughout the year.

No classes March 7-11 
Heartland offers various daytime and evening schedules for FESL classes. Most classes meet two days per week for three hours each day.
You'll learn more about your schedule options when you come to your registration appointment.
How much do FESL classes cost?
FESL classes are paid by state and federal grants. You pay nothing.
How do I register?

Contact us to make an appointment.

Your testing appointment will be 30 minutes long and consists of paperwork and a speaking interview.

What to bring

When registering, make sure you know your address and phone number. If you have a social security number, bring that, too. A social security number is not required to register for class.

When to register

You can register for ESL classes almost any time during the semester. After you register, you can start coming to class, even if classes have already started.

What are FESL classes like?

In the FESL program, you will:

  • Set goals
  • Speak and listen to English
  • Read and write in English
  • Study with classmates from many different contries

Overall, you'll improve your English, make new friends and have some fun.

What is the attendance policy?

It's important you to come to class every day and stay for the entire class.
