About the training

Oracle Primavera trainings are typically held at out our campus in Normal on Tuesday and Wednesday. Training goes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Project Management in P6 Client-Server

This course provides hands-on training for Oracle P6 (Primavera) client/server based solution.

You will gain a thorough background in the concepts of planning and scheduling. This course leads you through a hands-on workshop that creates and tracks an entire project to completion. All workshops and instruction use the three basic elements of project management: schedule, resources and costs.

Advanced Project Management in P6 Client-Server

This course provides hands-on training for Oracle P6 (Primavera) client/server based solution.

Building off skills learned in the basic course (102), the 106-P course covers advanced subjects such as earned value analysis, updating baselines and top-down budgeting. This course leads you through hands-on workshops that enable you to apply advanced functionality skills learned throughout the course.

James "Jimmy" Bratsakis

Jimmy can take complex ideas and break them down into layman’s language. He relishes in sharing knowledge and ideas that result in productivity gains for individuals and corporations. Jimmy is a certified implementation consultant for Oracle’s P6 (Primavera) and specializes in the integration of cost accounting systems with Oracle’s P6 (Primavera) project management and scheduling software. His unique combination of user and implementation experience also allows him to be an effective and interesting trainer for all products (including Primavera, Software Quality Assurance, Software Configuration and Contract Manager).

With 25 years of experience in project management, Bratsakis is recognized as the preferred corporate trainer for the City of Chicago’s Business Information Services, United Airlines, Trane Corp., Sverdrup Civil and Amoco. William "Bill" Carney PE, PMP

Bill has a long-standing career in project planning, project scheduling and project controls, Bill has worked with many industries and types of projects. He has initiated and engineered projects and handled construction project start-up and commissioning.

Bill has also taught extensively. He developed and delivered early courses for DePaul University in what is now called the Project Management Certificate Program. He also teaches project management professional (PMP) review courses for the local Project Management Institute (PMI) chapter.

Bill is experienced in single and multi-site operations, joint ventures and alliances and in world-class WBS development. In addition to combat-related risk management, Bill has years of (non-combat) experience in:

Deenna L. McNicholas, PE
Energetic and detailed oriented professional, Deenna McNicholas is responsible for developing baseline schedules within Primavera P6, including defining project calendar, constraints and milestones to project activities analyzing the critical path and deadlines, resource and cost loading. As a Scheduling Support Consultant and Trainer, she prepares and updates master schedules derived from construction procedures and drawings.

Class details

Classes meet in the Workforce Development Center (WDC), room 1405. Download the campus map (PDF) and see directions to Heartland's Normal Campus. Free parking is available in lot H. Enter the building through the east entrance door on the east side of the building. The classroom is on the west side of the building directly across from the east entrance.

Light refreshments are in the morning and afternoon. Time is provided for lunch on your own.

At the end of each subject chapter there is a review and an exam.

Cancellation and refund policy

If you are not able to attend the training, please call us at least 5 business days before the training in order to receive a full refund.

If you need to withdraw from the training within five business days of the training start date, we would be happy to transfer your tuition/enrollment to the next training. To transfer to the next scheduled training, please call us by 1:00 p.m. the day before the training is to begin (no refunds will be offered within the five day timeframe before the training).

Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds or credit to students who do not complete the training or do not attend the training.

Project Management Professionals (PMPs), can submit for 15 PDUs for two-day courses using Category B, "Other Provider." See the PMI website for more information. 1.5 CEUs are also available for two-day courses.
