Electronic Timesheet

Timesheets must be signed by the employee and supervisor before turning them into Payroll. The electronic timesheet automatically calculates hours worked.

Employee Absence Reporting
Due to H1N1 or Other Potentially Pandemic Flu

Heightened awareness of the H1N1 flu this fall and winter calls for a reminder to take reasonable precautions to reduce its spread. In anticipation of larger than normal numbers of employee absences, Heartland Community College has developed a Pandemic Flu Plan* (available in PDF format, 20 pages, 68 KB) that includes instructions for reporting absences due to H1N1 or other potentially pandemic flu.

This modified call-in system will assure that employee absences will not be left unanswered on voice mail, allowing the College to provide for the continuity of operations during a pandemic flu outbreak.

An employee call regarding an H1N1 absence will be valid for five days and need not be repeated each day.

Method for Reporting Absence

When an employee calls in an absence due to H1N1 or other potentially pandemic flu, he/she will follow the sequence below:

  1. Telephone one’s direct supervisor and speak directly with the supervisor or an administrative assistant. If the employee’s call rolls into voice mail, he/she is to leave the message and continue with the next step:
  2. Telephone an employee absence line at (309) 268-8780. The employee can leave a message and phone number where they may be contacted, along with any instructions related to work duties that need to be covered.
