Head Men's Golf Coach

We seek applicants for a part-time position to coordinate the College’s new men’s golf program with an emphasis on developing successful student athletes.

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Schedule, organize, and oversee meets and practices
  • Actively recruit student athletes
  • Monitor student athletes’ satisfactory progress toward academic goals
  • Remain current on National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules and regulations
  • Assist with budget management and fundraising

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruiting and coaching an intercollegiate athletics program in accordance with the College’s mission and values
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and public, and represent the College in a professional manner
  • Availability to travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PGA professional status
  • Collegiate or professional playing experience
  • Knowledge of local golf community, specifically high school programs
  • Experience in higher education generally, and at community colleges specifically
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Experience in the following areas
    • scheduling athletic events
    • recruitment and transfer process for student athletes
    • fundraising
    • budget development and oversight
