Adult Education Master Tutors
We seek applicants for temporary, part-time positions to tutor Adult Basic Education/High School Equivalency (ABE/HSE) Preparation courses or English as a Second Language (ESL) courses offered by the College’s Adult Education program. Tutors work in cooperation with instructors to assist individuals or small groups of students in the classroom setting. Morning and evening hours are anticipated to be available during the Spring 2020 and future semesters.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based tools
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently, problem-solve, and function professionally under pressure
- Successful teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience working with underserved adult populations
