Instructional departments assess the need for additional adjunct faculty on a semester-to-semester basis, review application materials as positions become available, and contact qualified candidates accordingly. - Master's degree in the subject taught is typically required for academic courses
- Appropriate work experience and educational background is required for technology courses
- Successful teaching experience, especially at the college level
