Heartland’s 13th annual student art exhibition now on display

The Liberal Arts and Social Sciences department at Heartland presents the 13th annual juried student art exhibition. Artworks are on display in the College’s library now through May 10.

The exhibition features a wide range of art media and styles created by HCC student artists in studio art classes. Artist Jan Brandt juried the exhibition and selected award-winning artworks. Her exhibition, Bio Lab, is currently on display in the Joe McCauley Gallery on Heartland’s Normal campus.

To kick off the exhibit, the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences department hosted a reception on Monday, April 10 and recognized student artists. Artworks were judged based on professional presentation and mastery of the media, along with innovation, honesty and vitality.

The public is invited to view the free exhibition. Heartland’s library is on the first floor of the Student Commons Building at the main campus, 1500 W. Raab Road, Normal. Library hours are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday: Closed
  • Saturday: Noon - 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
