Nineteen Hawks named to NJCAA All-Academic Team
June 27, 2018The Heartland Hawks baseball and softball teams found success both on the field in the 2018 season.
Nineteen Hawks were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Team.
The Hawks baseball team posted the second-highest group GPA in the program’s history. Hawks baseball also hit a new high mark for players who qualify for the NJCAA All-Academic honors.
In competition this season the Hawks baseball captured a division title and advanced to the championship game of the Region 24 tournament, ending the season with a 46-10 record.
Hawks Softball program completed a fourth consecutive year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The team finished with a 34-16 record.

Additionally, 17 of Heartland’s All-Academic Team members were named to the Midwest Athletic Academic All-Conference team as having completed two full-time semesters with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
