Heartland Community College film festival calls for student and alumni submissions

April 1, 2021

Heartland Community College will be showcasing student film makers during its first ever virtual film festival this spring.

Student and alumni film submissions are now being accepted for consideration. The screening of selected submissions will be held via Zoom on the evening of Thursday, May 6.

A panel of Heartland professors will review the submissions, assemble a program of finalists for screening, and determine the top ranking films. Creators of the stand-out submissions will be awarded.

Call for submissions & entree criteria

All current and former Heartland students are eligible to submit their films for consideration.

There are no limits on genre or on length. Be aware that shorter films (under five minutes) are ideal for this event, but all films of exceptional quality will be considered.

Films should be submitted directly to professor Adam Scott, in the form of a link to a secure website (YouTube or Vimeo) or a shareable file, via email at Adam.Scott@heartland.edu

All films need to be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST on April 26, 2021 to be considered for this year’s festival.

Questions about the submission process and the festival can be directed to the above email.
