New Student Appointment

Take the final step to enroll at Heartland by scheduling your New Student Appointment!

Open Enrollment for Fall 2015 begins April 7.

A New Student Appointment is required for students who plan to complete a certificate or degree here. Each New Student Appointment lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes:

  • Introduction to college resources
  • Meeting with an academic advisor
  • Creating your course schedule
  • Registering for classes

Steps that must be completed prior to registering for your New Student Appointment include:

  1. Submit HCC application
  2. Confirm your residency in District 540
  3. New Students: Submit your official high school transcripts, ACT scores, and any official college transcripts
Transfer Students: Submit your official college transcripts
  4. Complete Basic Skills Assessment

We recommend students request a college day or permission from their high school prior to reserving their New Student Appointment.

To sign up for a New Student Appointment, login to your myHeartland account and click on the Appointments tab. Select "Advisement." Choose the campus where you would like to meet with an advisor, then select "New Student Appointment" and choose an available appointment time.

Once your information has been verified, you will receive an email confirmation of your appointment in your myHeartland email account*. We look forward to seeing you and helping you create a plan for your college, career, and life success!

*If you have not completed all the required steps listed above, your appointment will be canceled. You will receive an email listing the steps you must complete before you are eligible to reschedule an appointment.
