Free Student Transportation to Heartland's Normal Campus
Getting to campus just got easier. Heartland Community College students can now ride the Connect Transit Pontiac-to-Normal route for free with a valid student ID. Free Wi-Fi is available onboard, making it easy to study or stay connected while traveling.
Route Schedule
- Departs Pontiac: 7:00 a.m.
- Arrives in Normal: 8:00 a.m.
- Departs Normal: 3:30 p.m.
- Arrives in Pontiac: 4:30 p.m.
- Service available Monday–Thursday.

New HVAC Training Program Coming to Pontiac

Heartland Community College is expanding workforce training opportunities in Livingston County with a new HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) certificate program offered at the Pontiac Center.
This 16-week program begins August 17 and meets two days per week, making it a flexible option for those balancing work, family, or other commitments. Designed for individuals seeking hands-on technical skills and career advancement, the program prepares students for entry-level employment in the HVAC industry through practical instruction and industry-focused training.
